We had to blindfold Dick and drag him kicking and screaming on to this plane. He had nothing to worry about. The plane never flew more than 800 feet off the ground the whole way to Merida!

One of the more modern department stores downtown.
 
Diane, Dick and Maureen show off their new hats and rest after a morning of haggling. Maureen is quite proud of herself. She bargained in the market for a pair of "handmade" sandals at a "rock bottom" price. Later we found the same pair at a department store with a marked price $10 less than she paid!

Just Outside the Market...
On Sundays the city gathers for food, fun and entertainment in the city square (zocalo) and Santa Lucia Park..
