Diane takes advantage of the complementary limousine service offered by the Dolores Alba in Chichen-Itza. (Dog not included.)

Waiting for the First Class Bus

We buy our bus tickets -- not at the station, where Diane insists it would be "too easy" -- but from a man with a beard and a wrinkled tuxedo who Diane finds lounging by the pool, drinking cheap margaritas and smoking Havana cigars.

Guess what? The first class bus blew by us at about 70 mph. We take the Dolores Alba limousine to the next town where we joyfully wait for about two hours in the hot sun. Finally, a third class bus stops and we all pile in. We STAND elbow to elbow with our fellow travelers all the way back to Cancun! Three and a half hours!
